Printable Recipe


1 large green pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter
2 pounds uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Hot cooked rice


In a large skillet, saute the green pepper and onion in butter until tender.
Stir in the tomato sauce and seasonings.  Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Add shrimp, continue to simmer until shrimp turn pink - about 5 minutes.
Serve with rice.

4-6 servings.
