Printable Recipe


1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, chopped
¾ cup dry cream soup mix (see recipe)
3 cups water
1 cup uncooked rice
½ teaspoon salt
1 green pepper coarsely diced
1 tomato coarsely diced


     Brown ground beef in a skillet with chopped onion. Drain and rinse.
     Add mushrooms, cream soup mix, water and rice to skillet. Cover and simmer on low heat till rice is tender and liquid is absorbed about 15 minutes.
     Remove from heat, top rice mixture with diced peppers and tomatoes. Replace cover and allow to sit about 5 minutes so heat will warm and slightly soften peppers and tomatoes. Serve.

Serves 4
