Printable Recipe

1½ lbs Italian sausage links, casings removed
3 cups water
4 medium potatoes, cut into bite sized pieces
2 medium carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 medium onion, rough chopped
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (I used Lea & Perrins)
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
3 beef bouillon cubes (I used Herb Ox)
1 teaspoon salt

In a Dutch oven or soup pot, brown sausage over medium heat, breaking up the sausage as it cooks.  Add remaining ingredients to pot.  Simmer over medium heat until veggies are tender and sauce has reduced and thickened, about 30-45 minutes.

Serves 4

Yum! My husband made something very similar to this not long ago and it was so
delicious. The addition of the sausage really puts it over the top!
