Printable Recipe


1 lb ground beef
1 package (1.25 ounces) taco seasoning
1/4 cup water
1 cup salsa
1 (16-oz) can refried beans
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Corn tortillas (about 4-6 6" ones)



     Preheat oven to 350°F.
     Brown ground beef, drain.  Add taco seasoning, water and salsa to pan with ground beef.  Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
     In a 1½-2 quart casserole dish or baking pan place corn tortillas to cover bottom of dish.   Cut or tear and use partial tortillas if necessary.  On top of tortillas place ½ of the refried beans then ½ of the meat mixture then ½ of the cheese.  Cover with another layer of tortillas, remaining refried beans, meat and cheese, ending with cheese.
     Bake uncovered 30 minutes.

Serves 4.
