½ cup butter 2-3 apples - peeled, cored and thinly sliced 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1½ cups milk 6 eggs 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in a skillet. Add apple slices and brown sugar. Sautee apples over medium heat until they start to soften, about 5 minutes. Transfer apple mixture to a lightly greased 9"X13" baking pan. Combine cornstarch and milk in a medium bowl and stir till smooth. Add eggs and remaining ingredients to milk and beat with electric mixer or wisk or process in a blender until smooth. Pour batter over apple mixture. Bake, uncovered for 20 minutes or until set and golden brown. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon and sugar if desired. Serves 6-8.
